Stamping Tutorial

I have a tutorial up on the Bo Bunny blog today for using your stamps to achieve a masked effect.  I am totally in love with the new Ambrosia stamp set and keep using it on everything so I just had to use them on my tutorial!

I wanted to keep the layout pretty simple to showcase the stamps and the misting, this is the completed layout.  Not the best of photos again but the weather has been horrific here so I have really been battling with light for photos!  I actually thought we were going to have a flood yesterday!   At least that should hopefully mean the 'droughts' we have been having all over the country should come to an end ;)

If you would like to see the tutorial then hop on over to the Bo Bunny blog here

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :)

New Bo Bunny Lines and Scrapbook Magazine

I just wanted to share a couple more layouts done for the Scrapbook Magazine a while ago.  The theme was 'inspired by' Winter Weddings.  This layout of my beautiful sister was mostly inspired by the different fabrics and textures of a Winter wedding but also by the cooler colours of Winter.

I had a bit of fun with some Organza on this layout and made two flowers with it.

This layout of my Gran was inspired by what seemed to be a popular colour scheme for a winter wedding which was red and white.  I also used the ribbon to imitate a brides corset.

I just love this corner stamp it is one of my favourites although I can't remember who it is made by!

Last but certainly not least... the previews of the 3 new Bo Bunny lines!! :)  Click on the pictures to go through to the Bo Bunny blog  for the full range and don't forget to leave a comment on the Bo Bunny blog for a chance to win one of the new ranges!  They are all totally amazing as always! :)

Ambrosia Card and Retreat Layout

First up today I have a card done for the Bo Bunny blog focusing on Stamps.  I decided to do the whole card using just stamps and some of the gorgeous new Vintage Double Dot!   I used three different sets of Bo Bunny stamps and did a bit of embossing.

Supplies Used :
Cardstock : Passion Fruit, Island Mist, Orange Citrus/Vintage Double Dot.
Stamps: Ambrosia; Country Garden; Enchanted
Ribbon : Aquamarine Double Dot

I also realised that I completely forgot to upload the one and only layout I managed to complete on my scrappy weekend away! So here it is...

I can't remember what the paper range is but it is a gorgeous line that I have used a few times before!  I used some of the new Bo Bunny Vintage Double Dot in Dark Denim which went well with the paper range and I was thrilled about it goes well with the photos!  I have to say if I had of thought about it when my kids were younger I would have been a bit more careful with the clothes that I bought them as I finding paper to match some of them can be a pain!  They had loads of navy clothes and have you noticed there are not many papers that have navy in them!

We had some Pizza hut last night as a treat for the kids seeing as their holidays were coming to an end and they had to go back to school today and this is what they ordered with their pizza...

Well now I have heard of everything!  But let me tell you though it was totally delicious and the kids loved it, it even comes with a little sachet of mustard to squirt along the edge.  This is them enjoying it on their beanbags while we watched Hugo!

I Crack Myself Up!

Not me lol, I Crack Myself Up is just the title of my layout as my son certainly finds himself totally hysterical on a regular basis although I have to say so do we most of the time as he has always been a bit of a clown!  I used the very cute On the Go paper range.

Although you you can't really see it in these photos I actually cut all the circles out of the white cardstock with a craft knife and then stuck pieces of patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad behind the circles.  You can see it quite clearly in real life and I think it looks much nicer than if I had of just cut the circles and stuck them on but then I am a sucker for punishment!  The fab stitching stamp I used in between the circles is from an old set of Hero Arts stamps that has a load of different stitch stamps.

 Supplies:
Patterned Paper : On The Go 6x6 Paper Pad; On The Go Gears
Stickers : On The Go Combo Sticker
Noteworthy : On The Go
Hero Arts Stamps

This card using the very beautiful Ambrosia collection was for the card challenge on the Bo Bunny blog where you had to make a shaped card and use handmade flowers.  This collection is so beautiful and so easy to use!

I know I have been very absent in the blogging and online world again, besides normal life my parents are currently visiting me for a month from South Africa and I have also been busy working on some commissions and just haven't had much time to get online!  I actually have a few things to upload to my blog so hopefully I will find some more time to get online soon! :)

Fast Friday and Restaurant Quality Puddings!

We have just changed internet providers and due to some mess up we have been without internet or phone since Monday!!  I swear it was like the end of the world or being sent back to the dark ages lol!  You never realise just how much you need something until it is not there.  But thank goodness it is finally back up after much shouting and arguing with the new provider so I can't really see us staying with them too long...

Today's post on the Bo Bunny Blog is Fast Friday and I have a 2 page layout for it.  A quick easy layout to put together with just a few strips of paper and punched edge strips and then the journaling that I printed out and cut into strips.  It is just a few highlights and favourite photos from 2011 and I used some alphabet stickers to link the photos and journaling strips up.  Then just a chipboard title covered in paper and the Ad Lib Dimensional Stickers and Layered chipboard for the rest of the title.  The photos were printed out on my little Kodak Pogo printer which is so fun as the photos are also stickers so you just peel the back off and stick them down!

Although I am not a huge fan of cooking I am a huge fan of food and spend a lot of time watching cooking shows and looking for new recipes to try.  One of my favourite shows is Masterchef Australia, it is just a totally brilliant show to watch and is on 6 days a week when it is running.  It has now become a firm favourite in our house and the whole family watches it and chooses their favourites and we wait to see if one of our favourites will win.  Anyway both of my kids love to cook (don't know where they got that from!) and Christopher thought up these special cakes that he wanted to make for us that had to be 'restaurant quality' as he put it.

So when his Grandma and Grandad came over he made them for us and they were very yummy and very sweet!!  They had whipped cream and jam in the middle, melted chocolate and a cherry on top, an artistic 'restaurant quality' smear of custard underneath and then a sprinkling of icing sugar!

Man that child is so cute sometimes, don't you just love the serious look on the face and the intense concentration!  Well I have said many times that maybe I should have married a chef as I love food so much, so maybe one of my kids will become a chef and can cook me lots of yummy food in my old age ;)

I am so excited at the moment firstly because my parents arrive tomorrow from South Africa for a month long visit and I haven't seen them for a year.  Secondly we have also just booked tickets to go and see Guns & Roses in May!  Definitely a band that brings back my teenage years!  I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :)

Serenity, Bling and Meadow Barn

Oh dear, two weeks since my last post!  Things have been a bit hectic around here but then that is nothing unusual!  But the good part of all that was going for a fantastic scrappy weekend away to Meadow Barn in Herefordshire with some of the UKScrappers Twilight Addicts social group plus a few extra friends!  This was us posing for the group shot on the Saturday, how gorgeous is that view and the accomodation was gorgeous too.

This was one last group shot before people started leaving for home.  Can you believe that I left my camera at home in my mad dash packing!  Seriously I normally take my camera everywhere.....bad, bad scrapper!  Luckily for me it was a weekend spent with scrappers so most other people had bought thiers!

I had a really fantastic time and the girls are all so wonderful and friendly!  I could use that as the excuse for only doing 2 layouts the whole weekend...too much chatting and eating  yummy food but I just wasn't feeling very scrappy (perfect timing for my 'scrappy' weekend)  This is one of the layouts I did manage to do though using the gorgeous new Serenity range and lots of bling with the Serenity Jewels!  It is documenting my.....ahem 'love' of all things Twilight and all the bits I have ended up with including fleece blankets, calendars and puzzles that were bought for me as presents :)

 Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper : Fans, Damask, Serenity, Love, Cut Outs/Serenity
Chipboard : Serenity 12x12 Chipboard
Jewels : Serenity
Stickers: Serenity Combo Sticker
Noteworthy : Serenity
Trinkets : Serenity

I am so glad it is Friday as this week has just been totally crazy with a hundred things happening at once!  I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :)

Alora Banners Layout and Digital Quickpage

My latest Bo Bunny assignment was to use banners!  As there were two of us for this assignment I decided to do my banners on a layout and do two different types of banners.  I decided straight away that I wanted to string a thin banner back and forth across the page and immediately knew I wanted to use the gorgeous new Alora range.  OMGoodness do I love this range it was such fun to work with it is so bright and cheerful and the images are just toooo cute!

I used the Alora Doodle paper and cut out loads of little flowers and then punched lots of little butterflies from my 6x6 paper pad with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then made banners across my page with some bakers twine and lots of foam dots to give it dimension. :)

I overlapped my ribbon banners and added foam dots to give them dimension although you can't really see that in the photo!

I am also sharing a digital Quickpage done for the CU for a PU Freebie challenge on Coolscraps Digital. They give you a commercial use kit to use and you have to make a personal use freebie of a kit, cluster or quickpage. I have just recently started to dabble into the digital scrapbooking world.  My Mom does digital scrapbooking and she is busy teaching me how to do it!  (long distance over the phone lol!).  So far I have  done two layouts and this is my second Quickpage :)

This is the download link for it http://www.4shared.com/photo/sg_ETXzk/AddieFebPUFreebie2.html

Thanks for visiting! :)

Favourites!

This layout was for a challenge on the Bo Bunny blog, the challenge was to use journaling on your layout (and that is good amount of journaling not just the name, place and date type of journaling!) and to use stitching on your layout.

I decided to do a 'Favourites' layout.  I am supposed to do one of these for each of the kids every year as I love the idea of keeping a record of thier favourites and how they change over the years, but....I have not been very good at keeping up with it!  I think the last ones I did were at 5 and 7 years!  So I will do one for Christopher soon and then make sure I keep it up for thier next birthdays, maybe if I write it in my diary I will remember! :)

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper : One Nation, Old Glory, United, Sparkler/ Liberty
Cardstock : Coordinating Double Dot Wild Berry Dot
Rub ons : Liberty
Brads : Liberty
American Crafts Thickers and Remarks stickers
EKSuccess Bracket Edge punch
Martha Stewart Iron Gate Edge Punch
Embroidery Thread

I hope everyone is having a lovely romantic valentines!  I am just off to go and cuddle whilst watching a movie ;)
