Limited Supplies Layout

For my latest Bo Bunny assignment we were given a limited supply list with which we had to create a layout and then photograph what we had left after we had done our layout.  Our supply list was...

3 pieces of patterned paper
1 piece of cardstock
1 Sticker sheet
1 embellishment pack of our choice (I chose one of the new petals)

We were then allowed staples like ink, paint, thread etc.  This is my layout using the new Hello Sunshine which I just totally adore, it is so bright and happy and just feels like sunshine which due to our total lack of sunshine or Summer in the UK at the moment is very welcome!

This is what was left of my supplies after I had finished my layout.

This is also what I have been doing with all my 'extra' photos.  I always take loads of photos and although I normally narrow it down I still then find it really hard to decide which ones to use on my layouts.  I don't really enjoy doing double pages anymore so this works really well for me as I can scrap the photos I love while still getting to include the ones that I really like and the best bonus is that it is really quick and easy! So I can do my single layout however I want without having to worry about which photos to leave out and then add all the other photos to one of these photo page protectors with some journalling and decoration.   I don't do it for every layout of course but for the ones that have loads of photos this is perfect and I have loads of old photos waiting to be scrapped because I had the problem of too many photos to choose from!

I have also done another sketch for this layout.  Bo Bunny now has a tab at the top of their blog here where they will be putting all their sketches.

After just blog hopping I have just decided to quickly add a few links to giveaways on here!  I have just found Erin Blegen's (one half of the Scrappin Sisters!) blog through the lovely Nadia Cannizzo and she has just started a new blog and is having an amazing giveaway on her blog here.

While I am at it I am also going to include a link to the wonderful Helen Tilbury's blog who is also having a fantastic giveaway!  I have been following Helen's blog for quite a while now and it is always loaded with inspiration and gorgeous work!

That's it for today I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! :)

That page is beautiful - so bright and vibrant. Like the addition of the other photos too. I've been doing a lot of that lately :)

I love this and will definitely be using that sketch, the colours are just so zingy.

Since doing Shimelle's 6x4 love last year I have started using those type of page protectors so much more - they are great!!

Love this Carin. It would be a great way to use up the odd strips of paper, I always seem to have left over. I really like the way you've used the circle as a frame over the photo.

Aaaw thank you so much for the mention!! And advertising my giveaway! Isn't Erin's work just fantastic?! Wow this layout is marvellous and your sketch is GREAT!! You have mastered it already! I love your stitching here - it is SO neat! I presume that it is hand stitching and that you use a thicker thread than just the standard sewing thread. It looks so effective - I must try it. I've done it before but it never looks as professional as yours. I was hoping you were enjoying an English Summer - obviously not. Hope the sun shines soon for you :)

What a great solution to just scrap one page and slip the remaining pics into photo sleeves. You must get a lot more done that way.

Thanks for letting me use your sketch for our recent twilight addicts cybercrop (shame you were away and missed it). This is the layout that I did using your sketch - http://kkfantasticplace.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/twilight-addicts-cybercrop-my-challenge.html
