Gabrielle Canvas and Liberty Card

I am so loving the Gabrielle line and got the urge to make a canvas with it the other day as the Aquamarine colour is perfect for home decor and of course I am just a huge fan of butterflies!  I just love the Gabrielle Elegance paper and right from the first time I saw it that butterfly has been screaming at me to do something with it so of course I had to use that for my canvas! :)
I have given up on trying to get a better photo as we have forgotten what the sunshine looks like in our area at the moment!!  I am hoping that will change this weekend :)

I had so much fun playing around with this, just painting randomly and not worrying about being too neat was fun! lol  Seriously I have not really painted anything for years but I am thinking maybe I need to get back into it again, but in the meantime maybe I will just do another couple of canvases to go with this one :)  Once I had played  around with the paint I used a Tim Holtz mask, and then the Kaiser Craft Script texture stamp and one of the butterfly stamps and a rub on from the Gabrielle collection to decorate the base of the canvas.  Then of course those beautiful butterflies and some stamped corners and pearls from the Gabrielle range to decorate and I went over the paper parts with some modge podge to make it a bit more durable and I have to say I actually quite love it lol!

This is a card using the new Liberty line from Bo Bunny and I really adore this line, the papers and images are fantastic!  I would quite love to move to America so I could have more chance to use it!  Having said that I will still be able to use a good portion of it because most of the papers are quite versatile and would lend themselves perfectly to boy layouts, especially as I love stars, almost as much as I love butterflies ;)  I don't really consider myself a card maker as I have not done it for as long as scrapbooking and am not that confidant with it but I had a lot of fun doing this one and it came together so easily using the new Noteworthy that came with the latest collections.

Bo Bunny Blog Hop!!

Wooohooo it is that time again!!  Welcome to the second Bo Bunny blog hop for May!

The Bo Bunny designers have put together some amazing work to share on their blogs. Today we have eight featured designers to inspire you to create!

You should have come here from the very talented Romy's blog but if you are just joining us you can start at the Bo Bunny Blog.
Today's designers include:

The Blog Hop begins at Tomoko's blog and then each designer will link you to the next blog, but all of the participating designers' blogs are linked above just in case.   If you would like to play along, follow along the blog path and just keep hopping until you reach the end!

This is my project for the blog hop using the beautiful Gabrielle range.   This is one of my favourite photos of my son when he was little skipping along happily in our garden.   I have wanted to scrapbook this photo for ages and each time I looked at it "There are fairies in the bottom of my garden" always popped into my head so I had a pretty good idea of what sort of page I wanted to do and the Gabrielle papers were just perfect for what I had in mind! :)

The little white roses were store bought but all the other flowers were made using 2 different sized 6 petal flower punches.
To give the tree a bit of dimension I did a few different layers for the leaves, starting with masking some leaves using the negative piece of the punched cardstock and then adding a few leaves in a darker shade of paper and topping that with the lighter patterned paper and using some foam dots to pop those up a bit on the end.  I also couldn't resist painting a bit of glitter glue onto some of the leaves to give it a bit more of a magical feel. :)

Football mania layout and Bo Bunny blog hop!

A layout for my sketch and scrap group today!  These are some older photos of Kieran from when he first started football/soccer in year1.  He just loved football and used to love to go to training every week no matter what the weather, he took it very seriously ;).   He still loves football to this day and plays it every chance he gets!  This month our group used this lovely sketch which is by Cherie Averill.

And this is my layout...and oh my goodness don't you just love how he is so little his shin pads take up most of his leg!

I used some older papers that I have had for ages!  They are mostly Deja Views Sports range and the little footballs were cut out from a Papermania range and I can't remember what make the red paper is, don't you hate it when that happens!!

Now to the exciting news!!  Bo Bunny is having another blog hop this month starting today!!  My day for the blog hop  is only next week but toady's Blog hop starts over at the very talented Agniezska's blog.  So for a chance to win some yummy Bo Bunny stash and be inspired along the way, be sure to go and join in the hop!  Good luck! :)
