Limited Supplies Layout

For my latest Bo Bunny assignment we were given a limited supply list with which we had to create a layout and then photograph what we had left after we had done our layout.  Our supply list was...

3 pieces of patterned paper
1 piece of cardstock
1 Sticker sheet
1 embellishment pack of our choice (I chose one of the new petals)

We were then allowed staples like ink, paint, thread etc.  This is my layout using the new Hello Sunshine which I just totally adore, it is so bright and happy and just feels like sunshine which due to our total lack of sunshine or Summer in the UK at the moment is very welcome!

This is what was left of my supplies after I had finished my layout.

This is also what I have been doing with all my 'extra' photos.  I always take loads of photos and although I normally narrow it down I still then find it really hard to decide which ones to use on my layouts.  I don't really enjoy doing double pages anymore so this works really well for me as I can scrap the photos I love while still getting to include the ones that I really like and the best bonus is that it is really quick and easy! So I can do my single layout however I want without having to worry about which photos to leave out and then add all the other photos to one of these photo page protectors with some journalling and decoration.   I don't do it for every layout of course but for the ones that have loads of photos this is perfect and I have loads of old photos waiting to be scrapped because I had the problem of too many photos to choose from!

I have also done another sketch for this layout.  Bo Bunny now has a tab at the top of their blog here where they will be putting all their sketches.

After just blog hopping I have just decided to quickly add a few links to giveaways on here!  I have just found Erin Blegen's (one half of the Scrappin Sisters!) blog through the lovely Nadia Cannizzo and she has just started a new blog and is having an amazing giveaway on her blog here.

While I am at it I am also going to include a link to the wonderful Helen Tilbury's blog who is also having a fantastic giveaway!  I have been following Helen's blog for quite a while now and it is always loaded with inspiration and gorgeous work!

That's it for today I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! :)

Tando Creative Desk Tidy

Just a quick post to share this little Tando Creative desk tidy that I did for an off the page article for issue 61 of the Scrapbook Magazine a few months ago using Basic Grey Picadilly

I decided that I want to randomly put a current favourite song up on my blog so I can remember what I liked when!  My tastes in music vary across a range of music styles so I never know what my current favourite will be.  Anyway this one by Train is the one I am really enjoying listening to at the moment, I find it very catchy and summery and it puts a smile on my face!

More Little Miss

My latest assignment for Bo Bunny was a focus on Little Miss.  This really is such a beautiful and totally adorable range those little girls images in it are just too cute for words!

This was my little sister and myself fooling around in a photo booth when she was over visiting the UK in May.  It did not work like your usual photo booths hence why in the first photo we were still looking up waiting for the instructions!  We then smiled a bit and decided to pull some faces etc but you had no idea when the photos were going off and for some reason it only took photos in between my face pulling when I was laughing at us, so that is why Tammy is pulling faces and I am not!  I have no idea what is with the strange colouring of the photos but the machine produced two copies so we each got one so we were happy! :)

Bo Bunny Supplies :
Patterned Paper : Jamayka, Hannah, Cut Outs, Dorothy/Little Miss
Cardstock : Coordinating Double Dot in Chocolate dot
Stickers : Garden of Firends Cardstock Sticker/Little Miss
Chipboard : 12x12 Chipboard/Little Miss
Trinkets : Little Miss
Petals : Little Miss
Brads : Little Miss

I also did a sketch to go along with the layout.  This is my first computerised sketch so doing it was a bit of an adventure lol and did take a while and included lots of frustration!!!

Bo Bunny has also teamed up with Swirlydoos for their blog hop so if you would like to take part for a chance to win some fantastic prizes then head over to the Swirlydoos Blog.  Well that is it for today, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

Little Miss and Guns n Roses!

I finally had a chance to play with the new Bo Bunny Little Miss range, I have had it a few weeks but have not had a chance to play with it until now!  This range is so gorgeous and girly and I totally adore it!  This layout was for a focus on chipboard assignment and the chipboard with this range is sooo cute and easy to use :)

The photo is my little sister when she was little, wasn't she cute! :)

Bo Bunny Supplies Used :
Patterned paper : Gracie, Jaquoya, Cut outs, 6x6 Paper Pad/Little Miss
Cardstock : Coordinating Double Dot in Chocolate Vintage
Chipboard : Little Miss 12x12 Chipboard
Stickers : Sweet Girl Cardstock Stickers, Dimensional Stickers/Little Miss
Brads : Little Miss
Jewels : Little Miss
Stamps : Little Miss; Camp-A-Lot

We went to a Guns n Roses concert on Tuesday night.  I was really looking forward to it as Guns n Roses are definitely a big band from my youth! :)  It was good but I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I could have because of course as seems to be the norm for them they only came on at 11:15pm so they didn't finish until 2:15am and I was so tired and we had to get up for work and school runs the next day so we eventually gave up and left just after 1:30am.  Maybe if it had of been a weekend I could have coped with it better but I am clearly to old for that because I was shattered the whole of yesterday lol.  The actual music, sound and lighting was really good but I felt there were way too many instrumentals in between songs.  Yes the people doing the instrumentals are amazingly talented but there were just too many!  Anyway here are a few photos from the night.  We were sat way at the back because we like a direct view and I only took the small camera because I didn't want to lug the big one around so the pictures aren't amazing but I still like to take some each time!

This was how it opened!

This is one of the times Axl looked more normal with just a hat on, he has taken to wearing some very strange hats and glasses with a handle bar moustache.  I couldn't stand the look, he looked 100 times better the couple of times he ditched them!

There were lots of effects and fire puffs etc

Thin Lizzy was the opening act and they were really good :)

All in all the concert was good and definitely something I wanted to experience as after all it was Guns n Roses (well a couple of them anyway!) but I don't think I would go again as I don't think there is any appreciation for the fans, especially as about 6000 apparently left way before the end because it was just too late!  What I am really looking forward to is the Nickelback concert we have booked for November and they have Daughtry supporting them which is another of my favourite bands :)

Hello Sunshine!

Well I have definitely been MIA again, my little sister and her husband have been visiting from South Africa so I was spending time with them and didn't do much scrapbooking!  They have now gone back home and left just in time for Summer to finally arrive!  The day after they left the sun came out and has stayed out.  I am a bit late uploading this layout but it was meant to be as clearly I was waiting for the sunshine because I have used the new Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine range!

This layout was done for the Field Trip Friday post on the Bo Bunny blog and we were supposed to scrap or make something we didn't normally scrap or make and step out of our comfort zone.  As I have scrapped most things and often do off the page things I decided to try and do a 'white space' layout.  I love layouts with lots of white space but if I look at my layouts it is not something I really do as I always find myself spreading out across the page.

 Bo Bunny Products:
Patterned paper : Breezy, Stripe/Hello Sunshine
6x6 Paper pad : Hello Sunshine
Stickers : Hello Sunshine Lazy Days Cardstock Sticker
Chipboard : Hello Sunshine 12x12 Chipboard
Trinkets : Hello Sunshine
Jewels : Hello Sunshine
Petals : Hello Sunshine

I did struggle a bit as I really just kept wanting to spread out and add more items to the page!  I was very good though and made myself stop and leave it and really enjoyed doing the layout in the end and will definitely be doing some more like this! :)

I just had to share what I found when I opened a new butter this morning!

Hee hee too cute and just to prove I didn't do it, this is the lid!

Anyway I hope that is a sign that today will be a good day because we have had a good few stressful ones recently!   I hope everyone else has a lovely day today and a fantabulous weekend too! :) :)

Camp-A-Lot!

I hope all my UK friends had a lovely long weekend!  I currently have my little sister visiting for a few weeks from South Africa and we have been having lots of fun catching up with each other again after a year and a half apart!  But that does mean not much time for scrapping and blog hopping!  I do however have a layout to share today using Bo Bunny's new Camp-A-Lot range!  At the moment Bo Bunny is having a little designer showcase every Wednesday with one of our layouts and today is my day.  So as my box of yumminess arrived last week I was able to use one of the new ranges!!

These papers were perfect for these photos of my boys climbing trees in the local country park :)  I had lots of fun cutting up the paper to make my branch and to give the logs some dimension.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper : Fireflies, Dot, Firewood, Leaves, Squares, In The Woods/Camp-A-Lot
Chipboard : Camp-A-Lot
Stickers : Camp-A-Lot Combo Stickers
Trinkets : Camp-A-Lot

There are a few more photos on the Bo Bunny Blog.

Stamping Tutorial

I have a tutorial up on the Bo Bunny blog today for using your stamps to achieve a masked effect.  I am totally in love with the new Ambrosia stamp set and keep using it on everything so I just had to use them on my tutorial!

I wanted to keep the layout pretty simple to showcase the stamps and the misting, this is the completed layout.  Not the best of photos again but the weather has been horrific here so I have really been battling with light for photos!  I actually thought we were going to have a flood yesterday!   At least that should hopefully mean the 'droughts' we have been having all over the country should come to an end ;)

If you would like to see the tutorial then hop on over to the Bo Bunny blog here

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! :)

New Bo Bunny Lines and Scrapbook Magazine

I just wanted to share a couple more layouts done for the Scrapbook Magazine a while ago.  The theme was 'inspired by' Winter Weddings.  This layout of my beautiful sister was mostly inspired by the different fabrics and textures of a Winter wedding but also by the cooler colours of Winter.

I had a bit of fun with some Organza on this layout and made two flowers with it.

This layout of my Gran was inspired by what seemed to be a popular colour scheme for a winter wedding which was red and white.  I also used the ribbon to imitate a brides corset.

I just love this corner stamp it is one of my favourites although I can't remember who it is made by!

Last but certainly not least... the previews of the 3 new Bo Bunny lines!! :)  Click on the pictures to go through to the Bo Bunny blog  for the full range and don't forget to leave a comment on the Bo Bunny blog for a chance to win one of the new ranges!  They are all totally amazing as always! :)
