I am a bad, bad blogger! :) Totally crazy week and I don't even have anything crafty to put up because everything I either can't show or I have not got around to photographing yet lol. So this post is just lots of random things!
It was Christopher's birthday this week. I don't have any good pics of him blowing out his candles as we had a party for him today at one of these Laser tag places and it was dark and there were too many kids getting in the way! (if I am honest I was also just in a rush to get it over with so that everyone could get cake and go home when normally I would relight the candles until I got a good photo, such a patient mommy :) ) I am sooo to old for kids birthday party's and boys are just so hyper and seriously can scream even louder than girls! I think he liked his big present.... :)
I got a new toy this week as well. I have always had a pay as you go mobile phone but we decided to get contracts as it works out better in the end. I pretty much just use my phone for calling and texts but I decided I wanted a phone that could take decent photos as I often want to take photos when I don't have my camera with me as it is just so big! I would have loved an iphone but can't afford that so this was the next best thing as far as photos and price range go, a Samsung Galaxy S2 and so far I am having lots of fun with it.
But just look at the gorgeous case my hubby found for me ! Isn't it just the cutest cover ever! I totally adore it and think I am going to have to order another one for incase this one ever breaks because I love it soo much. It was also only £1.75 so perfect excuse to have an extra one ;)
Then I was busy looking at my Pintrest boards and was laughing at some of them and decided to add those here too! This one always makes me laugh because I do this...
This one is me all over too and I have a habit of going to bed after hubby is already asleep and finding some random thing amusing and then trying so hard not to laugh out loud that I of course end up snorting and cackling and waking my poor hubby up! I think he is used to it now though :)
Lastly for tonight I am going to share another song I love, well actually two because I couldn't decide which of these two to put up lol. First up is Stone Sour with Hesitate, love this song, especially the end bit :) Stone Sour is out here in November but unfortunately I can't go because we won't have any baby sitters as my parents in law are going to South Africa for 3 months. At least P will be going though with my SIL and nephew as he is a bigger fan than I am :)
The next one is from Slash and is called Starlight. Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge is singing and I decided to put the live version on simply because Myles Kennedy is awesome live. We went to the Alter Bridge concert last year and it was definitely one of the best I have been to, they are brilliant live. Slash is here in October and we really wanted to go and tried to get tickets for that but the concert was sold out in the first 2 minutes just from pre-sales and these places that buy loads of tickets and then sell them at double the price, sooooooo irritating!
Ok I have probably rattled on more than enough for one night....I hope everyone is having a great weekend and the rest of it is wonderful too! :)
Just sharing a couple of layouts that I did for Scrapbook Magazine issue 63. This first one was for the Fourways Challenge and was done using a Sarah's Cards kit with the beautiful Random collection from Crate Paper.
I love these photos of my sisters and me 'posing' for my Mom. There were a few good photos but of course lots and lots where at least one (or all) of us are pulling silly faces, although I have to admit that is usually mostly me and my older sister as my younger sister is generally much better behaved when it comes to photos ;)
The T.T.C is all of our initials :)
The next one was for the designer gallery and that was Easter themed so this is my layout for that.
I used my EKSuccess open scallop edge punch to make the rosette and a Bo Bunny Trinket.
I played around with some bling to decorate my eggs.
It was lots of fun working out the journaling to include EGG!
We have just sat down to watch Doctor Who after watching last nights episode of Master Chef Australia and then next we are watching 21 Jump Street (the movie). Now that is what I call a laid back Saturday evening. Thanks for visiting, I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I just wanted to put a short post up in memory of a really wonderful bloggy friend Kim Sonksen. I was so sad to find out a couple of days ago that she died on Tuesday after a brief struggle with cancer. I am always surprised by how much people you meet online in the scrapbooking and blog world can touch your life even if you never meet them in person. Kimmy was a beautiful, talented, friendly and very sweet lady and I will miss her humour and her comments on my blog that always made me smile. My thoughts and prayers are with her partner and family. Rest in Peace dear Kim I will definitely be thinking of you and rocking out for you at the Nickelback concert next month.
Just a quick post today to put up my card for the latest card sketch challenge on the Bo Bunny blog! This is the sketch done by Juliana.
This is my card for the sketch, I used the beautiful new Serenade line.
I made the circular mat for my card by drawing a circle on cardstock
and then using one of the smaller flowers from the Serenade stamps to
stamp all around the edge of the circle closely together. I then cut
around the edge of the flowers leaving a thin margin.
I picked the mesh type of stuff up really cheap at a fantastic shop while on my holiday in South Africa. I got the white because I figured I could colour it but it came in various colours and I really wish I had brought some more now!

I am back from my holiday to South Africa to see my wonderful family! It was a fantastic month but just waaaay to short. You would think that a month would be a really long holiday but it is amazing just how fast that time goes especially when you are with lots of different family and trying to fit lots of things in. We always have a list of things to do and never manage to do all of them! But it is now back to the real world and back to finding out my poor little car had to be scrapped because once they removed all the outer damage they found the subframe was cracked :( But at least the other guys insurance has accepted full liability so we don't have to be fighting all of that.
This layout was for an assignment for Bo Bunny that went up just before we left but I just didn't get time to put it up on my blog. But it does give me a quick and easy blog post to put up while getting everything sorted now that we are back and while trying to get back into the swing of things! I came back to the most awesome box of the new Bo Bunny ranges, they are all gorgeous and the new blossoms ranges are to die for, but I have not been able to get near any of it yet. I can't wait! :) But I digress this assignment was about clustering and this was the layout I did....
My best tip for clustering would have to be to use foam tape on some of your items giving different heights which adds depth and then of course I think overlapping is always important!
I also included the measurements to cut out the sun rays and this will give you two sets :)

It was Kieran's 12th birthday yesterday! I just can't believe how big he is getting! He is almost as tall as me and although I am not really tall or anything I am in no way short, he is definitely taking after my side of the family! Here he is on Sunday with his birthday cake when we had a little braai/barbeque with the family to celebrate.
Well it has been a while since my last post again for various reasons although to be honest I have not had all that much time to scrapbook anyway so I have only really been working on a commission and not much else! Unfortunately I also had a car accident a few days ago so have been too sore to scrapbook since then too. Luckily I just have whiplash, lots of bruises and a couple of pulled muscles but unfortunately I can't say the same about my little car :( Anyone who knows me well will know how much I love my little car, Paul always jokes that if he had to win the lottery he wouldn't bother buying me a new car because I love mine too much :) Anyway the guy who hit me drove into the side of me and did quite a bit of damage including breaking the front axle so now we are just waiting to see whether the insurance will fix it or just scrap it. I am going to be so traumatised if they scrap it!
So the only other scrapping I have done is this layout for Bo Bunny where we had to do some doodling. I always love layouts that people have doodled on and think it adds a wonderful personal touch. I used Bo Bunny On The Go for it as I thought is was the perfect range to use for doodling!
I also just had to share these photos of my son who is 9 and his little countdown to our holiday in South Africa. He made it a few weeks ago and everyday he draws a different little face in one of the boxes counting down.
It is a bit wrinkled from where he scrunched it up one day in a temper tantrum lol but I ironed it out as much as I could for him.

Isn't it just sooo cute! I love his enthusiasm and excitement for everything and how he is always drawing something for everything that is currently happening in his life!
Speaking of countdowns we will be leaving for out holiday to South Africa soon so I will probably not be posting for a few weeks again and I am not sure if I will get to post again before we leave. I plan on doing some bloghopping tomorrow as I have not done that for at least a week and will probably not get to visit anyone while I am away either so don't go doing anything that I would want to see while I am away! ;)

You can also now get the double dot papers in 6x6 paper pads :) Today's reveal is the first of the new lines and it is called Serenade, this is a couple of my favourite papers and items.
